Lets discuss strech marks and myths associated with it.
It is a common misconception that strech marks are preventable or within your control during pregnancy.
We hear and think that if we moisturize enough, 💦 drink water enough , maybe we can make it through all three trimesters without the reddish lines across our belly.
However the prevalence of strech marks is primarily related to genetics. Using a heavy moisturiser as a part of your pregnancy skincare routine will do wonders to keep your skin soft and avoid dryness and itching, but it will not prevent or treat strech marks.
There is no doubt that it can be difficult to watch your body change before your eyes, but strech marks are nothing to be ashamed of 🧡.
These ribbons mark growth and change on your body and tell a story that is uniquely you 💎.
I’d love to hear how you view your pregnancy skin changes. Have you embraced them or are you struggling with it ? There is no right answer. You dont have to be strong here.❣
