Strech marks and myths associated with it.

Lets discuss strech marks and myths associated with it.

It is a common misconception that strech marks are preventable or within your control during pregnancy. ⁣

We hear and think that if we moisturize enough, 💦 drink water enough , maybe we can make it through all three trimesters without the reddish lines across our belly. ⁣

However the prevalence of strech marks is primarily related to genetics. Using a heavy moisturiser as a part of your pregnancy skincare routine will do wonders to keep your skin soft and avoid dryness and itching, but it will not prevent or treat strech marks. ⁣

There is no doubt that it can be difficult to watch your body change before your eyes, but strech marks are nothing to be ashamed of 🧡. ⁣

These ribbons mark growth and change on your body and tell a story that is uniquely you 💎. ⁣

I’d love to hear how you view your pregnancy skin changes. Have you embraced them or are you struggling with it ? There is no right answer.  You dont have to be strong here.❣⁣
