Located in the heart of nature, my Ranchi visit is worth remembering. The fear of traveling on a 2000 km long route evaporated when I decided to travel via flight from Bangalore to Ranchi. Nevertheless, the beauty of hills, forests, and waterfalls welcomed me with an open heart.

Popular Places To Visit In Ranchi

The capital of Jharkhand, known as a hill station during the British era. The nature generosity, dense forest, city of waterfalls and being famous MS Dhoni hometown, this city has many gems to make you go crazy. Today discussing popular places to visit in Ranchi.

Waterfalls

Hundru falls ranchi

The river Subarnekha numerous waterfalls while flowing through Ranchi. Starting with Hundru waterfalls located 45kms from Ranchi. It’s one of the most beautiful tourist attractions to witness the falling of the river from 320 ft high. You have to climb 750 stairs to reach the waterfall, and trust me you will love to live every moment.

Apart from this there are Panch Gagh Falls which has five waterfalls, Johna Falls, Dasham falls, Sita falls, Hirni falls and Rajrappa Waterfalls. These mesmerizing waterfalls is a popular tourist attraction in the region.

Birsa Zoological Park

The Birsa Zoological Park, also known as Birsa Munda Jaivik Udyan situated at Ormanjhi, 20km away from Ranchi. This beautiful sightseeing is a feast for wildlife enthusiasts.

Expand in the area of 104 hectares it’s home for rare plants, herbs, and a wide variety of wild animals like lions, tigers, deer, etc. There are a beautiful rose garden and an artificial lake with a boating facility.

Situated 7km from the city, this majestic place will captivate your heart. Decorated with beautiful sculptures, beautiful garden and waterfall makes a spectacular view. The Kanka Dam adds more attraction to this place. You can relax in the lap of mother nature.

The city is the best placed to satisfy your inner soul with beautiful temples. The most visited Sun temple is the example of majestic architecture. It has the shape of a giant vehicle with 18 wheels driven by seven horses.

These are some of the popular tourist attractions in Ranchi. The best time to visit Ranchi is from September to March. You can access this place via Road, trains, and flight. I’ve taken the flight from Bangalore to Ranchi which is not only pocket-friendly, also saves a lot of time.
