5 preparations tips to ace your ICSE class 10 exams

The key is consistency:

If you keep on working from the very beginning, if you are regular with your notes, you make sure your tests are well prepared. Then you have completed a major chunk of the syllabus that you have to. This will help you towards the end of your revision because you know your content well from the very beginning. This will be easier for you to revise and you don’t have much stress towards the end.

Follow evenly distributed study time schedules:

It is very important to stay focused throughout the year in order to champion the ICSE class 10 exams. You must follow an evenly distributed schedule for your studies. Gives equal time for the preparation of each subject from the beginning. Plan your revision in such a way so that you repeat each subject after 3-4 days. This way you haven’t lost touch with what you studied 2-3 days back. This way you won’t get bored by reading only one subject at a time. The time you will spend in preparation during the year will have a direct impact on your ICSE class 10 exams scores.

Be creative with your notes:

One of the most important preparation tips to ace your ICSE class 10 exams is to be creative with your notes. Scribble small notes in the margins of the textbook. So whenever you will read it again you can easily recall the important things from those small notes. Understanding becomes better when you read handwritten notes. Be creative with your notes, you can use datelines and maps in history and geography subjects.  This self-study will have a cumulative effect on your understanding. If you are looking for the best book for ICSE preparation, then work with the prescribed ICSE textbooks. As rarely do questions come from outside that book.

Start practicing Sample papers for syllabus completion:

Once you complete your syllabus, start solving sample papers questions. Start practicing around November/December as by that time you are done with your syllabus. Now you can focus on practicing those papers. Try to solve 1 sample each day. This will help you to analyze your preparation status. You will learn how to attempt a question. Based on your mistakes, you can easily revise and clear your doubts on difficult topics. Start with the past 10 years’ ICSE class 10 exams papers that will help you get an idea of what to expect in the exams or the margins of the questions that have been followed so far. Solving a sample question gives you enough time to improve your performance before your ICSE class 10 exams.

Focus on your presentation in  ICSE class 10 exams:

Ensure the answer sheet is neat and your handwriting is legible. Always draw small relevant diagrams wherever required in the answers. You should underline the keywords. Make sure that your answers are precise, contain relevant keywords, and are to the point. Because that really helps, as the examiner will just give your answer one glance and give you marks based on that. Make sure that your paper stands out so that examiners give you good marks.

It’s essential that you don’t completely focus on things that spend your energy and give you stress. So you do need some extracurricular activities like sports, music, meditation, reading, dancing, etc. Try to take a power break of 10-15 minutes in between your studying hours. Take care of your sleep time, get at least 6 hours of sleep at night and take a power nap of 15 minutes during the day. Take sufficient nutrition to stay fit and healthy and don’t get a fever. Hope these preparation tips help to ace your ICSE class 10 exams.
