Father’s Day Reminds Me of Dad’s living at Old Age Home #causeachatter

They say that God will not be with you all the time so we created mother for you.

I say the world will not be with you all the time so God created the best father for me.

Father's Day Reminds Me of Dad at Old Age Home 1

From dawn to dusk,

He’s a musk.

Redolence our life,

With love and comfort.

We are his priority,

We are his happiness,

Our dreams are his dreams,

Our needs are his achievements,

He never fails us,

When we need him the most.

In all our success and failure,

He stands as robust.

I’m too short to thanks him,

For being the best.

But I know he’s always there,

When the world is rest.

You are my superhero

You are my first love

If this world is a paradise

You are my angel dove.

Dr Bushra Nausheen

I’ll not say that my father is the best because I think every child’s father is the best. I don’t want to discuss the bad experience of people from their father.

Yes, this world is made from positive and negative people together. But on this father’s day, I want to talk about my positive experience. Maybe it helps someone to become positive.

Education for girls especially higher education is not an easy task especially we live in a small town. People can’t think beyond making a girl graduate and get her married.

From school to college, lots of eyebrows raise, which is a long story I’ll share someday. But this man who I called DADDY to stay strong with me in fulfilling my dreams and supporting in all my decisions.

Those who say the father is a girl superhero, I think I’m lucky enough to have this experience. Despite suffering from Parkinson’s, Diabetes, and heart disease, his dedication towards working at this age always inspires me.

Whenever I ask him to retire and enjoy life. He says, a lawyer never retired. We all cherished mother’s love so proudly, but I feel we should not neglect the importance of fathers in our life.

He’s not a typical dad, whom we kids are afraid. I never remember that he even shouts or scold us. He is such a cool dad who always enjoys watching TV with us, singing doing sher or shayri, just like a friend.

His greatness can’t be summed in a post.  On this father’s day, I want to remind something that irritating my mind for long. Following western culture, we started celebrating father’s Day mother’s Day siblings.

There is always a mixed reaction that we should celebrate it or not. I personally feel that we don’t need a day to celebrate any relationship.

In fact, we should make it special every day with our gestures and behaviors. At the same time, I do feel that we also need a specific day, to make Others remember that they have left their parents in an old age home.

Yeah, old age home where old souls are living in a hope that someday their kids will come and take them back home.

Whenever I used to think about old age homes, someone squeezes my heart and brain to stop working. They both can’t bear it to imagine the pain parents living in old age home goes through.

If modernity is teaching us to keep our parents away from home when they need us the most, then to hell with this modern culture.

Maybe some may agree with my thoughts and some may not. But it’s okay as we all have different opinions.

Being from a small town, the glamour of big cities never appeals to me. I don’t know why, but the more we start moving towards a big and modernize world, it not only takes us away from our roots but also from our culture that India is famous for.

Coming from a joint family system I’ve witnessed my elders taking care of their elders. And we younger generation now following the same footsteps.

During my internship time when I’m in the medicine department, we used to have a huge crowd of people in OPDs. When my senior asked me to see the older patients first and let them not wait.

When I asked why he said I’m going to be his age soon. It’s not easy to stand in cue for long hours. I’ll get old someday, I can’t bear this sin to make them stand.

On this father’s Day, I request to the one who sends away their parents in an old age home for whatever reasons it would be, please take the pain and give a second thought about it.

And don’t forget that everyone will get old someday, and we have to reap what we sow.

  1. As I entered deep into your article, I couldn’t prevent my tears to come. It has made me recall my days in school and college. In each and every stage I always got him beside me.

  2. Father’s are the silent pillars that hold aloft our lives. They are truly the one’s who live their lives for the children and without any expectation in return.

  3. Father’s day honors fatherhood and the contribution of fathers to the society. Beautifully expressed the thoughts on Father’s Day. Superb poetic lines.

  4. This is a very heartfelt post about dads. I loved the poem you wrote in the starting. A salute to all the dads.

  5. I put those people who are sending their parents in the old age home. Atleast, they should visit them on Father’s Day to make them feel special.

Love to hear from you :)
