Woman’s Life Journey is full of challenges not only mentally but also physically. As the age increases woman’s body comes from hormonal changes. One of the most Important change is Menopause. It is the phase that every woman has to pass through one day. In this post we are discussing everything about this phase and how smartly can we handle it.

What is Menopause?

It is basically the permanent cessation of menstruation. It is considered to occur when the menstrual cycles are missed for 12 consecutive months. Women’s experience Menopause around 4855 years of age.

What happens when A woman is in Menopause?

As per my experience, Women’s in this phase often comes with a problem of confused thoughts, Mood swings, Headaches, anxiety, and most common they complaints that they look older.

According to medical science, during this period, a woman’s come across many changes both physically & mentally. It is characterized by the following factors:

  • Menstrual irregularities.
  • Prolonged and heavy menstruation.
  • Insomnia.
  • Some of these symptoms may emerge 4 years before menses cease.
  • Mood orders during menopause.

Depression – Research has shown that Reproductive hormones produced during this period lead to mood swings like depression.

The Problem with sleep – Insomnia occurs in 40-50% of women during the menopause stage. Sleep disturbance may or may not be connected to mood disorders.Women with insomnia are more likely than others to report problems such as anxiety, stress, tension, and depressive symptoms

Panic disorder – This is the most common in women with many physical symptoms.

Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD) – Recurrence or a Change in OCD symptoms may occur. The change in hormone levels may contribute to the OCD.

Exacerbation of mood symptoms has been noted in women during this period

Depression during menopause is mostly due to fluctuation & decrease in the hormone levels.
