Why is this relevant?

Amongst the holiday festivities, last week’s social media saw thousands of Indians join the worldwide #MeToo campaign. It was an uproar by victims of sexual abuse, the idea was that the magnitude of numbers might speak for the gravity of the situation and it was shocking for us to see so many of our colleagues, relatives, and friends come out to acknowledge this harsh reality.

Facts like ” 80% of college students in India watched porn; 40% of these watched rape porn and 76% admitted that watching rape porn led to the desire to rape women.

And that is exactly what the filmmakers aim to do with their film. Bring this taboo out in the open and make audiences empathize with this widespread reality.
