Eat healthily

Healthy food is as important for you as it was during your pregnancy period. Since your body is in the recovery zone and you’ve to do breastfeeding. So probably your body requires good nutrition that’ll keep you & your baby healthy.

Include vegetables, fruits, fluids, whole grains, milk sources, protein in your diet. This will boost up your health and breast milk supply and improve digestion.

Stay active

Stay active by doing gentle morning walks. I’ll recommend you to take morning walks in the beginning. This will refresh you, increase blood supply and keeps you active throughout the day. Ask your doctor About doing any other exercise.

When to start a Weight loss regime?

Post delivery your body must have gain weight and you are planning for weight loss. Be patient and sweet to your body. It’s not recommended to follow any weight loss regime after six months of your delivery.

Ask your doctor about it and if they say it’s ok, begin with moderate activity for short periods and continue only if you feel comfortable.

How to deal with body changes?

After delivery your body undergoes many changes, we’re discussing some of them here.

Vaginal discharge

Vaginal discharge lasts up to 2-4 weeks after delivery. Vaginal bleeding last for a week and flow is light. Wear sanitary pads during this period and avoid the use of tampons or douche.

If your vaginal discharge is foul-smelling, itching in the vagina or heavy bleeding consult your doctor right away.

Breast discomfort

You can have breast engorgement, sore nipples after delivery. Use cold or warm compress and organic cream to soothe your breast.

Discomfort at pelvic floor

During delivery, your May have got an episiotomy and your pelvic muscles stretch a lot. To heal this area use cold compress sits on a soft pillow and do kegel exercise

Uterine pain

You may have cramps in the lower abdomen. This may subsidies with time. If you feel uncomfortable to consult your doctor for medication.

Other symptoms will vary from person to person, depending on the mode of delivery. Vaginal Bleeding, discharge, breast discomfort, uterine or pelvic pain are all part of what happens after delivering a baby.

  1. After delivery, (c-section) Sadly I got all silly and told my mom I do not buy the midwife tales. I suffered major back ache and it was ugly. Was bedridden for few days :((
