Fbb’s Women’s Day Campaign #BuraNaKhelo safe Holi for women

I want to celebrate each day being a woman. And what women want is equality and lives freely. New-age women are creating success stories across all phases of life.

Be it personal or professional level they are defying all steep odds and emerging as a leader.

But there’s always a question mark on woman safety. Be it going to any public places safety issues are always on the mind.

International Women’s Day reminds us of the – Equality and the right to live freely for every single woman out there.

On account of women’s day and Holi Fbb is urging men and women to be vocal and stand up against the bad-touch that women experience during this HOLI festival.

It’s everyone’s responsibility to make an enjoyable and safe Holi for the women of our country.

And to voice out every women’s opinion Fbb has created a film featuring Mithila Palker narrating the inner feeling of all women.

This initiative to inspire men and women to be vocal and create awareness to ensure that women are respected and feel safe in any circumstances.

Fbb is also giving out stickers at the stores to all it’s customers to help create more awareness about this initiative.

Holi aa rahi hai
Ismein rang hongey. Gulaal hoga.
Hansi hogi. Mazaak hoga.
Doston ke saath, music aur mastika mahaul hoga.
Par saathhi hogi thodi zor-zabardasti.
Thodi chhed-chhaad.
Thodi manmaani. Hai na?
Par bura na mano, Holi hai.
Because that’s the reality for many women across India
Rangon ke bahaane kareeb aana,
Bina poochhey idhar-udhar haath lagaana,
Aur hum mana karein to unkakehna,

“Bura na mano, Holi hai”.

“Bura na mano, Holi hai”.

“Freedom of speech is one of the most powerful medium. Thanks to social media today women are voicing out their stories of their march towards equality. 1. This is so true! We all have experienced such incidents during holi! I am grateful for this campaign!

  2. Some people ad rang mei bhang with their ulterior motives. It’s important for everyone to understand that a limit needs to be kept. Every fest has decorum. Love this initiative

  3. I agree with what you have said. This initiative from Fbb is something we need in our present situation.

  6. Bang on. We need such messages and initiatives. To enjoy the true spirits of festivals, we have to let go that fear and it can only happen when we start to speak up.

  7. HOLI is such a beautiful festival but because of few bad people its loosing its colour. nice post. we want to play but a safe holi.

  8. We all love the festival of colours and at the same time safety is important.. This is a great initiative post for this festival season..

  9. We need more such messages to all men who exploit this festival to molest women and ruin the festival for them, Luckily I never witnessed such behaviour but I have seen women falling prey to it so kudos to #fbb for promoting women’s safety.

  10. This is such a great initiative and I hope it helps in changing mentality of people. Holi is a festival of color and joy and it should be celebrated with spirit of fun and happiness.. not with keeping bad intentions.

  11. Voicing out bad touches in the name of festival is applaudable. Glad FBB came out with such strng campaign on women’s safety and security.

  12. That’s the only reason I personally don’t like this festival. People take the liberty to touch anyone. Very well explained in the post. Loved the Fbb’s theme, Bura na khelo.

  13. Great initiative, this is true. Holi is so colourful festival but for woman, day of festival also become threaten day by eve Teasers.

  14. This campaign will make people think of old saying with a thought. Sometimes people take for granted Holi as an occasion to misbehave. I like the idea of this campaign by FBB.

  15. It is going to take a generation gap to see improvements in our surroundings. We need initiatives like this No means No.

  16. This is a beautiful and a thoughtful campaign by FBB. A lot of people take advantage in the name of Holi. It’s high time that men should stop it and women must speak out too.

Love to hear from you :)
