How Essential Oils Help to Increase the Chances of Normal Delivery

During pregnancy, the use of certain medications is contraindicated; the same happens with essential oils, especially in the first months.

Although it is natural and very effective against some discomfort, aromatherapy can be dangerous in certain periods of life, especially during pregnancy. Read the tips about How Essential Oils Help to Increase the Chances of Normal Delivery?

Take Precautions

Most essential oils are restricted during pregnancy. The reason for this restriction is simple: the oils can reach the placenta and affect the unborn child. This does not apply to all oils, however.

Some are authorized from the fourth month and others even throughout the entire gestation. They are the essential oils that do not contain toxic molecules capable of causing harm to the mother or the child. It is possible to use them with medical consent.

Effective to calm nausea, combat insomnia, prevent baby blues, stress and facilitate delivery, oils are enormously useful, especially since most medications are prohibited during pregnancy.

The Seven Golden Rules of Aromatherapy

Never use synthetic oils, available in supermarkets, souvenir shops, and cosmetics. These do not present any therapeutic action and can even be dangerous. Use only one hundred percent natural oils, available in pharmacies.

Respect the mode of use, as well as the recommended dosage.

Never replace one oil with another. Mint arvensis can only be used after the fourth month of pregnancy, but peppermint, for example, is strictly prohibited. So it is not a matter of buying any mint oil, but of taking the precise subtype indicated for a given problem.

Do not make your own mixes, the consequences of doing so can be serious.

Use essential oils for a limited time, that is, in a timely manner (only once) or for 10 or 15 days maximum.

Never apply them in the abdominal area.

Follow the advice and verify what oils are allowed during pregnancy. With them, you should be able to alleviate some discomforts before the arrival of the baby!

Essential Oils Allowed Throughout Pregnancy

All of these oils can be used without worry: Bergamot, Cardamom, Lemon, Juniper, Fine Lavender (Angustifolia), Lentiscus, Mandravasarotra, Marjoram, Matricaria, Myrtle, Orange blossom, Rose, thyme tujanol, Lemon Verbena (lemon verbena or cedron), CBD oil.

CBD oil is particularly favored by pregnant women because of its anti-anxiety qualities as well as its healing properties. Websites like www_americanhempoil_net provide an easy way to find CBD oil.

Essential Oils Allowed After the Fourth Month Only

These essential oils are allowed from the fourth month of pregnancy: Tea tree, Basil, Chamomile, Mint arvensis, Jara, Tarragon, Eucalyptus radiata, Lemon eucalyptus, Wintergreen, Ginger, Geranium rosat, Sclarea sage, Olivardilla (Inula graveolens), Laurel noble, Lavender, Lavender aspic, Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida , Tangerine skin, Niaouli (Melaleuca viridiflora), Neroli, Ravintsara, Tanaceto, Ylang-ylang.

Essential Oils That Should Not Be Used During Pregnancy

Given its neurotoxic properties, Salvia officinalis should not be used during pregnancy as it can lead to an abortion. The same goes for camphor.

The compact Oregano and the Greek Oregano can be equally dangerous, therefore it is not recommended to use them.
