Blogging Tutorials – 10 tips for blog beginners -Bloggers Must know 

Started my blog on an energetic note. But always wonder about some tips for the blog to maintain this energy like the day one. As I love my blog a lot and don’t want to miss single tips for a blog that can boost up my blog business.

I get to learn a lot on my blogging journey. And here sharing some very accurate tips for a blog that you must use if you own a blog. This tips will bring life to your blog. And you have to just activate it once and it’s done. So no waste of time and no mess 🙂

Install Alexa toolbar in your browser. Download here.

Now questions come to your Mind what ALEXA do? Basically Alexa Checks on your Blog traffic rank both Globally & the country you live in. 

Organize Blog Menu

You can sum up all blog posts under Custom Menu. The menu can be divided into general topics called Categories based on the niche of your blog. Like My blog is about health, food, Nutrition, Recipes etc. So I’ve made different categories respectively. Category help visitors to find blog content easily.

Activate Follow Buttons

Who doesn’t wants a long list of followers? So what are you waiting for? Set up Social Profile buttons (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, StumbleUpon) linking to your social pages. And remember to pin it On the top of your blog. This button will bring viewers for your blog 🙂

Activate Social Share Plugin

Activate Social share plugin and Put them on top, as well as the bottom of the post. These Social share buttons must have -Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, StumbleUpon.                                                                  

Also, don’t forget to setup these buttons especially the twitter one. While sharing your Twitter post a reader should be able to get the following sample:

Your Blog Post Title via @dewcool2 { Blog Url}

Use keywords in your blog post

Enable google Analytics

Enable google Analytics and do ensure the tracking code is present across all pages. Learn more SEO Series Google Analytics Beginner’s Guide Part 1

Submit your post to Google+.

Login to your Google+ profile. Share your blog post on Google. Visit it a few times while logged into Google. Now user can find your blog post with similar browsing patterns on Google search.

Optimize Your Images

Be light. Images must be no larger than 500kb each for quick loading. Use a caching Plugin tool. I am using WP-Smush. It automatically smushes up blog images to minimum size and increases the blog speed.

Organize Sign Up Newsletter for your blog

Yes, it’s must as this will bring traffic to your blog. I am using Mail chimp for this. Confused don’t worry post on How to create Newsletter for your blog coming Soon.

Create Logo and header Image of your blog

  1. Some interesting tips. The only thing I don’t like about Alexia is that it’s a paid service. Not particularly cheap for those whose blogs only earn minimum amounts.

  2. That’s an informative post Dew, but SEO and Plugin services are for avail only when you have self hosted sites… isn’t it??
    Alexa is good but for installing have to pay…

    1. Yes it is but you can write SEO content on the basis of above description. Plugin only guide you about it
