Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March every year across the globe. It’s Celebrated to Bestow honor for the remarkable contribution of women towards society.

Woman’ is like a rainbow sometimes bright to enlighten your path and

the other time Dark enough to make you blind.

She’s is at a time weak that gives away her life for your pain and

on the other note strong enough to make the world go round.

Yes That’s the woman.  A woman is much more than these words.

Status and role of Women in Society

Indian women performed significant roles in our society. From a daughter, wife, housewife (homemaker), and mother. Indian Women’s status comes a long way since Independence.

Their contribution to Indian society and Improving the status of Women is remarkable.
The modern women are stronger, confident and independent. Increased awareness education has inspired women to brush up their talents and come out of the home.

  1. Wow!!!! a great prompt and really well written but why do we celebrate only successful women what about those who run behind their kids at home without any support and make wonderful leaders of tomorrow , the one is who still taking care of her parents. the one who is cooking for her husband i think they are even more great.

  2. The role of the women nowadays is very important because somehow all the society needs to now how is the role of the women through the different cultures in the world and as Leanne Evale has mentioned that: “Throughout the last 100-300 years the changes that women have seen and been affected by have been phenomenal. Women have gained a lot of ground in politics, the work force, and even more power within their own households. There was a time in history when women were unable to voice their opinion in politics being unable to cast a vote or run for office, and now in modern time there are more than one woman running in the presidential campaign. Now women and men can both be the bread winners, the stereotypical role place on women is slowly dissolving and both spouse parents are sharing the responsibilities that come with the house and family.

  3. great prompt. So true that woman’s role in the society too is evolving for good. Remember the song “I am Woman, hear me roar…” by Helen Reddy.

  4. Hey Bushra , Glad to see all you fabulous women writing to your heart’s content. We surely have come a long way from where we were but I still feel there is a long way to go.. But I think our voice is becoming stronger and significant and these little victories will go a long way..

  5. Its an amazing prompt and my view is though the status of women is changing manifold, there are deep rooted patriarchal beliefs which we need to shake off and that we will, its important we stand by each other and keep the flame of sisterhood burning
