Diabetes is the fast-growing health disorder in today’s world. Diabetes means a big “NO” for sugar or glucose intake. Is it really true? Research says that it is not true. Diabetics need to control their sweet intake instead of stopping sweet consumption as a whole. Controlling the sweet intake will steadily balance the blood sugar level. Diabetics always worry while eating sugar-rich food. Now, they can fulfill their love for sugar by having Date in their diet. Read how Dates and Diabetes – New Candy for Diabetics.
Dates and Diabetes- did they affect the Diabetics sugar level?
Dates are an edible natural fruit. Dates are a healthy alternative to sweets for Diabetes. They are easily available in the market either packed or loose. Experts have proved that dates have healthier GI and this is the reason that they are prescribed by many doctors for the diabetics.
Attention, Diabetics: It’s time to add dates to your shopping list.
Diabetics have a habit of skipping carbohydrates from diet chart. Instead of removing them, One should include healthier whole grain carbohydrates. For example, if a diabetic intake 100 gram of dates then he is consuming 75 grams of carbohydrates. Fructose, glucose, and sucrose are the forms of carbohydrates available in Dates. They work together to provide instant energy. Thus, many studies reveal that a diabetes patient can have a packet of dates while going out to work or at home. This is because whenever the patient will feel lethargic then he may regain the lost energy by eating 1 or 2 dates.
So its time to carve your sugar needs with DATES. If you are diabetics you can have 2-3 dates on the go and satisfy your love for sugar food. Don’t forget to share this with one who has diabetes that Dates and Diabetes don’t interfere with their sugar level. Remember Sharing is caring !!!
I knew that dates has its own nutrition but had no idea to such an extent. I’m sure going to suggest it to my near and dear ones!

My mum was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Melitus around 7 years ago. It totally changed the way we lived our lives. We completely cut down on sugar and sugary foods. I drink my coffee without any sweetener in it. My mum and I then discovered that adding jaggery to coffee is equally tasty, but will far less Sucrose thus making it safe for those with sugar level problems. We have a few dates every day, and use it once in a while in making sweets at home.
